About your Transfer to ISS

From 1 October, 2025, as part of the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) Workplace Services Programme, ISS will deliver cleaning, catering, technical services, and workplace experience services to the DWP sites across the UK. If you work in these areas, your job may be transferring to ISS under 'TUPE' regulations. Your current employer will have confirmed if you are in scope for the transfer to ISS and you will have had a 121 or Right to Work check by with ISS.

What is TUPE?

TUPE stands for the 'transfer of undertakings (protection of employment)' and applies to employees of businesses in the UK. When a new Service Provider is appointed, all employees who are clearly identified as providing the services being transferred will move to the new organisation with their contractual terms and conditions of employment protected.

What will change?

There may be a few changes in the way you work – you might be dealing with new suppliers or have a different way of allocating specific jobs. Please continue your work to ensure that every DWP site is open, safe, clean and compliant and that you and everyone on site including colleagues, employees or visitors are safe and comfortable.

ISS has been working with DWP, Mitie and Compass for the previous 12 months, building up an understanding of how you work now.

So unless you've heard otherwise, from 1 October, please continue your work as you did before and if you have any questions, speak to your Manager or the ISS TUPE team on DWPTUPE@uk.issworld.com.
